I was born and raised in Quebec, Canada. More than twenty years ago, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life, I left everything behind and moved to Panama in search of a better quality of life.
Like anyone considering an international move, I arrived with countless questions and uncertainties. I had to learn how the country worked, navigate a new culture and language, and build a life from the ground up. Those years taught me lessons no guidebook could.
Panama became home. I raised my son here, came to know the local education and healthcare systems firsthand, and built a business, a boutique bed & breakfast in Coronado, El Litoral, where I welcomed hundreds of visitors from Canada, the US, and Europe. Many weren’t just on vacation; they were wondering whether Panama could become their home.
Through those conversations, I saw how much people needed honest, practical guidance before such a big decision. So today I help future expats explore Panama with clarity: cost of living, healthcare, banking, residency, neighborhoods, and choosing the region that fits their life, all from real experience rather than tourist impressions.
